What should you know about lymphoma in dogs treatment?

The veterinarian first confirms the diagnosis and assesses the dog’s general condition. Tests may include blood work, imaging and a sample of affected cells or tissue. The location and cell features help determine whether treatment should target disease throughout the body or a particular area.

A veterinary protocol may use chemotherapy, supportive medicines or, in selected situations, radiotherapy or another specialist approach. Before treatment, ask how medicines will be given, what monitoring is required and which side effects need a same-day call. Keep a record of eating, drinking, activity, vomiting, stool and breathing.
