What should you know about lymphoma cats?

In cats, lymphoma may affect lymph nodes, the digestive tract, chest, kidneys or other tissues. Signs can include reduced appetite, weight loss, vomiting, diarrhoea, breathing changes or unusual tiredness. These signs can also arise from infections and other illnesses, so they do not identify lymphoma on their own.

A veterinarian may recommend an examination, blood work, imaging and a needle sample or biopsy. The location and cell features help determine the diagnosis and guide a plan.
