If lung cancer spread is confirmed, the team considers whether one adrenal gland or other sites are involved, the lung cancer subtype, molecular findings, symptoms, and general health. These details shape the treatment discussion more reliably than a broad prognosis label.

Ask whether the adrenal finding needs further imaging, hormone tests, or tissue confirmation. Genomic tumour profiling may identify treatment options for the lung cancer. Depending on the overall pattern, care may include systemic treatment, radiotherapy to a troublesome area, or a procedure for a limited site. Palliative care can be introduced early to manage pain, appetite, sleep, breathlessness, and emotional strain while cancer-directed treatment continues.
