Loose skin under the eyes: before and after

A useful comparison keeps the head position, facial expression, lighting, distance, and makeup similar. Early aftercare swelling or bruising can make skin look tighter or less even temporarily. Images also cannot show tenderness, altered sensation, dryness, or how comfortably the eyelids close. Under-eye laxity may coexist with puffiness, hollows, pigment, or upper-lid drooping, so a visible change does not identify which tissue was treated. Before treatment, ask for a face-to-face assessment and a clear explanation of the target: surface creases, excess skin, puffiness, or contour. Keep a private record of standardised photographs if you want to compare progress. Follow the aftercare plan and allow the clinician’s stated recovery period before judging the result. Options may include skin care, HIFU Skin Lifting, Radiofrequency Skin Tightening, or another procedure; the safest choice depends on eyelid anatomy and eye-surface health.

Contact the treating clinician if swelling, pain, redness, discharge, worsening asymmetry, or difficulty closing the eye is increasing rather than settling. Urgent assessment is needed for vision change, severe eye pain, double vision, or sudden drooping. A before-and-after photograph should never delay care for a new eye symptom.

Ask what the photographs can and cannot demonstrate, when comparison is fair, which symptoms are expected during recovery, how the eye surface will be protected, and what follow-up is available if the result is uneven or uncomfortable.
