When lip fillers look unnatural

Immediately after injections, swelling can exaggerate size and asymmetry. Once it settles, the result may still seem too prominent if the upper and lower lips, the border, or the central areas were treated in a way that does not suit your features. A lump or firm area can be temporary irritation, uneven product, or a problem that needs review. Your preferred look matters: a technically uncomplicated result can still be a poor match for your goals.

Write down what you dislike and photograph the lips from the front and side in even light. Follow the aftercare instructions you were given, and do not massage, dissolve, or add product unless a qualified clinician advises it. Emergency assessment is needed for vision symptoms, trouble breathing, or severe rapidly increasing swelling.
