Pause shaving or any activity that causes rubbing until the skin is comfortable. Do not squeeze bumps or apply acne treatments intended for the face; genital skin can be more easily irritated. If a sexually transmitted infection is possible, avoid sexual contact or use protection and arrange testing rather than treating by guesswork.
