Light bleeding after sex while pregnant: what to know

Pregnancy increases blood flow around the cervix and vaginal tissues. Friction during sex can make these tissues bleed lightly, sometimes as pink or brown staining noticed on toilet paper. Bleeding can also relate to infection, cervical changes, or a pregnancy complication, so the amount, colour, timing, and any accompanying symptoms matter.
