Leg pain during sex can be related to pelvic pain, muscle tension, nerve irritation, or a position that strains the hip or leg.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

The short answer
Leg pain during sex can be related to pelvic pain, muscle tension, nerve irritation, or a position that strains the hip or leg. Pain may be felt in the thigh, groin, buttock, calf, or lower back, and its timing can help a clinician understand the cause.
What it may mean
Deep pelvic pain can spread into the hip or leg. Endometriosis, an ovarian endometrioma, pelvic inflammatory disease, and vulvodynia are possible contributors, although leg pain does not identify one condition by itself. Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause or Lichen Sclerosus may cause genital discomfort that makes surrounding muscles tighten. A cramped posture, prolonged hip flexion, or pressure on a nerve can also trigger pain without a gynaecological disease.
What you can do now
Stop or change the activity when pain begins. Try a position that keeps the hips more neutral, use support under the knees, and allow more time for arousal and lubrication. Note where the pain starts, whether it is one-sided, how long it lasts, and whether it occurs outside sex. A clinician can assess the pelvis, muscles, joints, and nerves; treatment depends on the finding. Laparoscopic Excision of Endometriosis may be discussed only when evaluation supports endometriosis and surgery is appropriate.
When to seek care
Arrange a medical assessment if the pain keeps returning, limits intimacy, or occurs with pelvic pain, unusual discharge, bleeding, fever, numbness, weakness, or changes in walking. Seek urgent care for sudden severe pain, a swollen or hot leg, chest pain, trouble breathing, fainting, or new loss of bladder or bowel control.
Questions for your doctor
Could the pain come from my pelvis, hip, muscles, or a nerve? What examination or tests would distinguish these causes? Should I avoid any positions while this is assessed? What symptoms would mean I need urgent help?

Questions people ask
Can leg pain during sex be from muscle tension?
Yes. Pelvic, hip, or buttock muscles may tighten in response to pain, posture, or pressure and can refer discomfort into the leg.
Should recurring leg pain during sex be checked?
Yes. Recurring pain deserves assessment because pelvic, musculoskeletal, nerve, and genital causes need different approaches.
