Why timing matters
Botox uses Botulinum Toxin Type A to temporarily reduce selected muscle activity. LED does not perform the same job: it is a light-based treatment aimed at the skin surface and does not replace the injection. The main practical issue after injections is avoiding unnecessary pressure, heat, rubbing, or extra procedures while small injection sites settle. The advice can differ with injection location, the LED device, and any other treatment performed that day.
Protect the treated area
Follow the written instructions from your injector and tell the LED provider when and where Botox was given. Do not press a mask or handpiece firmly over fresh injection points. Keep skincare simple, avoid vigorous rubbing and intense heat until advised, and use eye protection as directed. If your concern is movement lines such as Crow's Feet, allow time for Botox to be assessed before adding another procedure. Dermal Fillers are a different treatment and need separate advice.
When to seek care
Contact your injector about increasing swelling, severe pain, unusual weakness, marked asymmetry, or symptoms that concern you after Botox. Seek urgent care for trouble breathing, swallowing, or speaking, or for sudden visual symptoms. After LED, report blistering, intense burning, or a spreading rash promptly.
