Laser RF microneedling therapy: what to know

A device places insulated or non-insulated needles into the skin and releases radiofrequency energy at a chosen depth. The tiny punctures and controlled heat can trigger a healing response that may improve selected acne scars, fine lines, texture, or mild laxity. Treatment feels different from surface microneedling because energy is delivered below the surface. Temporary redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, tenderness, bruising, or roughness can occur. Tell the practitioner about active infection, acne or eczema, cold sores, medicines, metal or implanted devices, poor healing, abnormal scars, and pigment changes after injury.
