Juvederm for marionette lines: what should you know?

Marionette lines run from the corners of the mouth toward the chin. Juvederm, a hyaluronic acid filler, may soften a depression along this path or restore support nearby. Filling the line alone is not always the most suitable plan: lower-face laxity, downturned mouth corners, chin shape, and changes in cheek volume can all influence the appearance.

These lines may be part of normal facial movement and age-related changes in skin elasticity or soft-tissue support. They can be more visible with a relaxed expression and may deepen when the mouth moves. A clinician should assess the surrounding face rather than treating a single crease in isolation.
