Insect Bite Rash: What to Know

Bites often appear as separate bumps or small clusters on exposed skin, sometimes with a central punctum. A rash that follows a new product may fit Contact Dermatitis, while itchy patches linked with dry skin may fit Atopic Dermatitis. Heat Rash, Intertrigo, Ringworm, Scabies, Psoriasis and Drug Rash can also resemble a bite rash. Gently cleanse the skin and use a cool compress. Pause any newly introduced fragranced product on the affected area, and avoid picking or scratching.
