What should be done immediately for heat stroke?

Short answer
Suspected heat stroke is an emergency: call emergency services, move the person to a cool place, remove extra clothing, and start rapid cooling while help is coming.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Why heat stroke is dangerous
Heat stroke occurs when the body cannot control its temperature after severe heat exposure or exertion. The person may be confused, drowsy, unsteady, have hot skin, collapse, or develop a very high temperature. Vomiting can occur, but waiting for every sign wastes valuable time.
Heat exhaustion can progress to heat stroke, but a person with confusion, collapse, or reduced awareness needs emergency treatment rather than observation at home. Do not rely on the presence or absence of sweating to decide whether the situation is serious.
First-aid steps
Call emergency services, place the person in shade or air conditioning, and remove unnecessary clothing. Cool the skin with water, wet cloths, fanning, or cool packs wrapped in fabric; keep cooling active while help travels. If the person is unconscious or confused, do not give food or drink. Place them on their side if vomiting and monitor breathing.
If they are not breathing normally, begin CPR if you know how and follow the emergency dispatcher’s instructions. Hospital care may include IV Fluid Therapy and monitoring for effects on the brain, kidneys, and other organs.
When to seek care
Seek emergency help for confusion, fainting, seizure, severe weakness, breathing difficulty, or hot skin after heat exposure. Do not drive an altered or collapsing person yourself if emergency transport is available. A person who improves after cooling still needs medical advice because serious effects may not be obvious immediately.
After the emergency
Ask what likely triggered the episode, when it is safe to return to exercise or outdoor work, how to plan fluids and breaks, and whether medicines or medical conditions increase heat risk.
