Impetigo in the Beard Area: What to Know

Bacteria can enter through tiny cuts from shaving, irritated follicles, scratching, or dry skin. Impetigo may produce red patches, fragile blisters, shallow erosions, wet discharge, or adherent yellow-brown crust. Beard hair can hide the edges and make gentle cleaning harder.
