I have a lot of red moles on my body

Cherry angiomas are usually bright red, smooth or slightly raised spots. They can appear on the trunk, arms, legs or other skin and may become more noticeable over time. Their colour comes from clustered tiny blood vessels near the skin surface. They are different from ordinary brown moles, although a clinician may need to look closely to tell similar-looking lesions apart.

Check the spots in good light and note their location, size, colour and whether they are flat or raised. Take dated photographs for comparison, without picking or squeezing them. Reduce friction from clothing or jewellery if a spot catches or bleeds. A dermatologist can confirm the diagnosis and discuss options such as Pulsed Dye Laser Treatment or Electrosurgery when a lesion is bothersome or repeatedly irritated.

Arrange a skin review for a spot that changes quickly, develops uneven colour or shape, becomes painful, crusted or persistently itchy, or bleeds without clear friction. Seek prompt medical advice for bleeding that does not settle with firm pressure. A new widespread change in your skin, especially with fever or feeling unwell, also deserves assessment.
