Hypochlorous acid and Demodex mites

Demodex mites can live in hair follicles and oil glands, especially on facial skin. Their presence does not by itself prove disease. When mite activity and inflammation are associated with symptoms, skin may become red, rough, itchy, sensitive, or covered with small bumps. Similar signs can occur with Rosacea and other conditions.

Use a labelled hypochlorous acid product exactly as directed, keep it away from the eyes, and stop if burning or worsening irritation develops. Pair it with gentle cleansing and a simple moisturiser rather than scrubs, fragranced products, or repeated harsh washing. Persistent symptoms may need an examination and a targeted plan. Arrange an assessment for ongoing redness, facial bumps, eyelid irritation, crusting, or symptoms that affect vision or comfort.
