What should you know about htig tetanus?

Tetanus is a serious infection caused by a toxin made by bacteria that can enter damaged skin, especially a deep, dirty or puncture wound. Get urgent medical help for jaw stiffness, trouble swallowing, painful muscle tightening, unusual stiffness in the neck or abdomen, breathing difficulty or spasms after a wound. These symptoms can progress and need immediate assessment. Do not wait for symptoms if the wound is high risk or your vaccination history is uncertain; prevention works best when assessed promptly.
