How quickly does nebuliser treatment relieve cough?

A nebuliser changes liquid medicine into a mist that you breathe through a mask or mouthpiece. The medicine may relax tightened airway muscles, reduce inflammation, or help loosen secretions, depending on what was prescribed. A cough can also come from infection, irritation, reflux, or medicine effects, so a nebuliser is not a universal cough treatment.
