Take any prescribed medicine exactly as directed and keep the area clean and dry. Wear loose underwear, avoid picking at sores, and wash your hands after touching the area. Avoid sex until sores have healed and follow the GP’s advice about reducing transmission. Tell the GP if you are pregnant, immunocompromised, or taking medicines that affect immunity.
