What the timing means
The radiation is aimed at the melanoma while limiting exposure to surrounding tissue as far as possible. The treated area may continue changing after radiation, and vision symptoms do not reliably measure tumour response. An ocular oncology team may examine the eye and use imaging over time.

Protect the eye as instructed, use prescribed drops, and attend oncology and eye reviews. Report changes in vision, increasing redness, pain, flashes, or new floaters. Do not drive until your team says vision and medication effects make it appropriate.
