How effective are topical retinoids for steroid acne?

Steroid acne is an acneiform eruption linked with corticosteroid exposure. It may produce many similar-looking bumps or pustules on the face, chest, back, or other exposed areas. A topical retinoid can help keep pores from becoming blocked and may support more orderly shedding inside follicles. Use the retinoid exactly as directed, applying a small amount to dry skin rather than spot-treating only visible bumps. Introduce it at the advised frequency, moisturise, and avoid harsh scrubs or several irritating acne products at once.
