Surveillance commonly includes brain imaging and a review of symptoms such as headaches, seizures, vision changes, weakness, balance problems, or altered thinking. Your schedule is shaped by the tumour's location, its features, the treatment received, and what earlier scans showed. A stable scan is reassuring, while a change may need another scan, specialist review, or a discussion of treatment choices. Monitoring also helps separate treatment effects from changes caused by the meningioma.

Attend imaging and clinic appointments even when you feel well. Keep notes about headaches, seizures, concentration, movement, vision, and medicines, including any anti-seizure treatment. Ask when the report will be reviewed and whether you should avoid driving or other activities after a seizure. Bring a family member if changes in memory or behaviour make it harder to describe what has happened.

Get emergency help for a first seizure, a seizure that lasts longer than usual, sudden weakness, trouble speaking, severe confusion, collapse, or a sudden severe headache. Contact your treating team promptly for persistent or worsening headaches, repeated vomiting, new vision problems, increasing unsteadiness, or a gradual change in memory or personality.
