How common is wheezing in acute bronchitis?

A wheeze is a high-pitched sound, often more noticeable while breathing out. With acute bronchitis, inflammation and mucus can make air move through the smaller airways less smoothly. Cough, chest tightness and short-lived breathlessness may occur alongside it. The sound alone cannot identify the cause, because asthma, infections and irritants can also produce wheezing.

Rest, drink fluids regularly and avoid smoke, vaping and strong fumes while your airways are irritated.
