How common is cough in heart failure?

When the heart does not move blood efficiently, pressure can build in the blood vessels of the lungs. This may cause a persistent cough, breathlessness, wheezing, or a need to sleep more upright. Some people notice symptoms during activity, while others find them worse at night.
