Home remedies for blackheads on the nose

Short answer
For nose blackheads, gentle cleansing and a suitable leave-on treatment can help clear blocked pores; squeezing and abrasive scrubs can inflame the skin.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

What blackheads are
A blackhead is an open comedone: oil and shed cells collect in a pore, and the exposed material darkens when it meets air. The dark colour is not dirt. Tiny, evenly spaced dots on the nose may instead be sebaceous filaments, a normal part of pores that refill after cleaning. Blackheads can occur as part of acne or comedonal acne, but the appearance alone cannot establish a diagnosis.
Gentle steps at home
Cleanse with a mild, non-scrubbing product and lukewarm water, then use a non-comedogenic moisturiser. A topical retinoid may gradually help prevent pore blockage; introduce it carefully and follow professional or product directions, particularly if pregnant or trying to conceive. Do not dig with nails, use pore strips repeatedly, or apply toothpaste, baking soda, or harsh alcohol. Avoid adding several new actives at once, since irritation can make the nose look rougher and redder.
When professional care helps
See a clinician if spots are painful, inflamed, scarring, spreading beyond the nose, or unchanged after a consistent gentle routine. Professional extraction can reduce the risk of squeezing-related injury when performed by a trained practitioner. A dermatologist can also check whether the bumps are acne, irritation, or another condition and discuss prescription options when appropriate.
Questions for your doctor
Are these blackheads or sebaceous filaments? Would a topical retinoid suit my skin? How should I introduce it and protect sensitive areas? Is professional extraction appropriate? What should I use if the skin becomes irritated?

Questions people ask
Do blackheads need to be squeezed out?
No. Squeezing can push material deeper, injure the pore opening, and leave inflammation or marks.
Can steam remove nose blackheads?
Steam may soften surface material temporarily, but it does not prevent pores from refilling and can irritate sensitive skin.
