What should you know about heat exhaustion next day symptoms?

The body may still be replacing fluid and recovering from heat strain, so low energy, headache, thirst, mild dizziness or reduced heat tolerance can remain. Dark urine may occur with dehydration, but it can have other explanations too. Symptoms that are intense, new, getting worse or unrelated to heat exposure should not be dismissed as routine recovery.

Stay cool, rest and drink regularly in small amounts if you are awake and swallowing normally. Eat when able, avoid alcohol and postpone strenuous exercise or another hot shift. Rise slowly if light-headed, and have someone check on you if symptoms are significant. Return to activity gradually only after normal movement and drinking feel comfortable.

Seek emergency care for confusion, fainting, seizure, collapse, severe weakness, repeated vomiting or inability to drink. Arrange prompt medical review for ongoing dizziness, severe headache, very dark urine, reduced urination, symptoms returning with light activity or failure to improve while resting in a cool place.
