Short answer

HA mesotherapy uses multiple small injections of hyaluronic acid to improve skin hydration or texture, with results and risks depending on the treatment plan.

This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

How HA mesotherapy works

Mesotherapy is an injection technique rather than a single standard product. Small deposits are placed across a chosen area, often to support a more hydrated or smoother appearance. Formulations vary, so the consultation should identify the exact ingredients, concentration, intended depth, and treatment area. HA mesotherapy is not the same as placing a thicker filler to build structure or replace a deep hollow.

Redness, pinpoint swelling, tenderness, bruising, and temporary unevenness can follow the injections. Results may be subtle and may change as the skin settles. Active infection, inflamed skin, certain allergies, or a history of problematic reactions may affect suitability.

Before and after treatment

Use a licensed medical practitioner and ask for the product name, batch information, injection depth, expected recovery, and planned number of visits. Explain your medicines, allergies, skin conditions, tendency to bruise, and previous injectable treatments. Follow the clinic’s advice about cleansing, exercise, heat, makeup, and products applied to the treated skin.

Keep the treatment area clean and avoid picking at injection points. Arrange review if the appearance does not settle as expected or if a firm area persists. A skin-care plan or another injectable approach may be more suitable when the main concern is pigment, scarring, laxity, or a deeper contour change.

When to seek care

Contact the treating clinic for increasing pain, spreading redness, warmth, discharge, marked swelling, or skin colour change. Seek urgent assessment for vision symptoms, severe pain, breathing difficulty, or sudden neurological symptoms after facial injections. Do not self-treat a suspected complication with massage or further products.

Questions for your doctor

Ask what concern the injections are expected to address, whether the formula contains anything besides HA, how the skin will be prepared, when improvement should be judged, and what follow-up is available.

Questions people ask

Is HA mesotherapy the same as dermal filler?

No. Mesotherapy usually uses small superficial deposits, while dermal fillers are selected and placed for specific volume or contour goals.

Can mesotherapy cause bruising?

Yes. Pinpoint swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, and temporary unevenness are possible after injections.
