Fever every night: what it can mean and what to do

Short answer
Fever every night can reflect an infection or another inflammatory problem, so repeated episodes need medical assessment.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

What a nightly fever may mean
Check that the temperature is measured with a working thermometer and record the reading, time, method, and any medicine taken. Evening warmth can follow activity, heavy clothing, or a warm room, but a measured fever that returns night after night is different. The pattern may accompany respiratory, urinary, skin, or other infections; the fever pattern alone cannot identify the cause. Tell the clinician about travel, animal contact, new medicines, weight change, sweats, cough, pain, rash, and exposure to illness.
What you can do now
Rest, drink regularly, wear light clothing, and keep the room comfortably cool. Use fever medicine only as directed on its label and check with a pharmacist or clinician if the person is a child, pregnant, has liver or kidney disease, or takes other medicines. Do not combine products that contain the same ingredient. Arrange a clinical review if the fever keeps returning, interferes with sleep, or is accompanied by worsening symptoms.
When to seek urgent care
Seek urgent help for trouble breathing, confusion, fainting, a seizure, a stiff neck, severe headache, blue or grey lips, severe dehydration, or a rapidly spreading rash. Infants, older adults, people with weakened immunity, and people with serious long-term conditions may need prompt assessment even when symptoms seem modest. A fever after recent surgery, invasive treatment, or travel to an area with unusual infections also warrants timely medical advice.
Questions to take to an appointment
Ask which tests fit the pattern, whether medicines or recent travel could contribute, how long to monitor at home, and which changes should trigger same-day care. Bring the temperature diary and a complete list of medicines and supplements.

Questions people ask
Can a warm room cause a fever?
A warm room can make someone feel hot, but a thermometer helps distinguish environmental warmth from a measured fever.
Should I suppress every fever?
Comfort, hydration, age, health conditions, and the underlying cause matter; use medicines only as directed.
