Extreme fatigue after ovulation and possible pregnancy

Hormone changes after ovulation may affect sleep, temperature, appetite, and energy. Fatigue can also be an early pregnancy symptom, but it is not a reliable way to tell whether conception occurred, especially before a missed period. Anaemia, dehydration, stress, burnout, infection, thyroid problems, and poor sleep can feel similar. Consider the whole pattern, including bleeding, pelvic pain, nausea, breast changes, fever, and your usual cycle.

Rest when possible, eat regular nourishing meals, drink fluids, and avoid alcohol if pregnancy is possible. Use a home pregnancy test according to its instructions at the appropriate time; if it is negative but your period does not arrive, repeat it or contact a clinician. Do not take supplements or medicines for fatigue without checking their suitability if you might be pregnant.

Seek urgent help for severe one-sided pelvic pain, shoulder-tip pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, severe dizziness, chest pain, or breathlessness, particularly with a positive pregnancy test. Arrange care for persistent or disabling fatigue, fever, repeated vomiting, marked paleness, or symptoms that are worsening.

Ask when to test for pregnancy, which medicines and supplements are suitable, and whether fatigue with bleeding, paleness, or breathlessness should be checked for anaemia or another cause.
