Egyptian Magic and Stretch Marks: What to Know

Stretch marks are bands that develop when skin stretches or changes volume and collagen-containing tissue is remodelled. They may begin pink, red, purple, or darker than surrounding skin and often become lighter or less noticeable over time. They can occur on the abdomen, breasts, hips, thighs, buttocks, or upper arms.

A balm can reduce dryness and make the surface feel more comfortable, but moisturising is different from rebuilding altered dermal tissue. Results depend on the mark's age, colour, depth, skin tone, body site, and the treatment chosen.
