Does pitted keratolysis cause body odour?

Pitted keratolysis is a superficial bacterial infection that affects the thick skin of the soles, particularly areas exposed to sweat and pressure. The bacteria break down material on the skin surface and release compounds that can cause a strong smell. Small shallow pits or craters, whitish softening, and soreness may be easier to see when the feet are wet.
