Does benign bone tumour cause persistent bone pain?

Treatment depends on the cause and may involve observation, symptom relief or a procedure if the bone is weakened or nearby structures are affected.

Seek urgent medical care after a sudden crack or severe pain, especially if you cannot bear weight or use the limb. Prompt assessment is also appropriate for new weakness, numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, rapidly increasing swelling, fever with a hot or red painful area, or pain that is escalating quickly. These features can signal a fracture, nerve pressure or infection and should not wait for a routine appointment.
