Different Types of Diaper Rash

Irritant diaper dermatitis often affects skin covered by the diaper and may look red, sore, or shiny. Yeast-related rash can involve the skin folds and may have small separate spots around the main red area. Contact irritation can follow a new wipe, cleanser, detergent, or product.
