What should you know about dermapen skin care?

A Dermapen moves fine needles over the skin to create small channels. Temporary redness, warmth, tightness, mild swelling or sensitivity can follow. The procedure can be considered for uneven texture, selected scars or some pigmentation concerns, but results and suitability vary. A skin examination matters when dark patches, active acne, eczema or infection are present.

Before an appointment, tell the provider about retinoids, exfoliating acids, acne medicines, recent tanning, cold sores and any history of difficult healing. Do not arrive with sunburn, broken skin or an active infection. After treatment, cleanse gently with lukewarm water, apply the recommended bland moisturiser and protect the area from sunlight with the advised sunscreen. Pause scrubs, waxing, strong acids, retinoids, fragranced products and picking until instructed to restart.
