What should you know about dengue fever long term effects?

Short answer
Most people recover from dengue, but tiredness and reduced stamina can continue for a while after the acute illness.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Understanding recovery
Dengue commonly has an acute phase followed by gradual recovery. Even after fever improves, energy, appetite, concentration, and exercise tolerance may take time to return. Joint pain, muscle aches, or headache can also linger for some people. Recovery is individual and should trend gradually toward better function; worsening symptoms or new bleeding need medical assessment.
A past dengue infection does not make every future fever dengue. New fever should be assessed according to current symptoms and any recent exposure.
Supporting your recovery
Rest between activities, drink regularly, eat small nourishing meals if appetite is low, and increase activity in stages rather than returning suddenly to strenuous exercise. Keep a simple record of energy, pain, fever, fluids, and any bleeding. Review medicines with a clinician, especially if you still bruise easily or have another health condition.
Arrange a GP consultation if fatigue is not easing, prevents normal work or study, or is joined by persistent pain, poor appetite, dizziness, or another symptom that concerns you.
When to seek urgent care
Seek urgent help for renewed or persistent high fever with severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, bleeding, faintness, confusion, breathing difficulty, very little urine, or inability to keep fluids down. Do not wait for fatigue to pass if these warning signs appear.
Questions for your doctor
Ask whether your recovery pattern is expected, how quickly to resume exercise, whether a blood count or other review is needed, and which symptoms should trigger urgent reassessment.
