Cyst on the Thigh Under the Skin: What to Know

A cyst under the thigh skin can feel like a discrete, rounded nodule that shifts slightly when pressed. It may be painless at first, then become tender after rubbing from walking, sport, tight clothing, or prolonged sitting. Other possibilities include a fatty lump, inflamed follicle, abscess, bruise, or a deeper soft-tissue problem.
