Cough with itchy throat: remedies and when to seek care

An itchy throat can reflect irritation from dry air, smoke, strong scents, or mucus draining from the nose. Allergic rhinitis may cause an itchy throat alongside sneezing or watery eyes. A common cold can bring throat irritation, cough, and nasal symptoms.
