During a cluster period, attacks may arrive at a predictable hour, including during sleep. The repeating schedule is a feature clinicians consider alongside severe one-sided pain, restlessness, and same-sided eye or nose symptoms. Timing alone cannot establish the diagnosis: migraine, medication effects, sleep disorders, and other causes can also produce recurrent headaches. A precise diary gives the clinician more useful information than a general description such as “every day.”
