What should you know about cellulite hips?

Short answer
Cellulite on the hips is a common dimpled texture caused by the way skin, fat and connective tissue interact, and it can be softened but not reliably erased.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Why hip dimpling appears
Hip cellulite may look like shallow hollows, ripples or an orange-peel surface. Fibrous bands can draw parts of the skin inward while nearby fat pushes outward. Genetics, skin elasticity, age and body changes can affect how clearly the pattern shows. A hip dimple that looks like ordinary cellulite is not a diagnosis of a disease, but a new or unusual lump should be checked separately.
Options for hip cellulite
A consultation can distinguish tethered dimples from general laxity. Subcision is designed to release selected bands below the skin. Radiofrequency Skin Tightening may be suitable when firmness is a major concern, while RF Microneedling may combine energy delivery with controlled skin channels. Carboxytherapy may also be discussed. The clinician should review your skin type, healing history, medicines and the exact hip area before recommending a plan. Movement can support muscle tone, but exercise does not directly remove connective-tissue bands.
When a hip change needs review
Seek medical review for a painful, hot, red or swollen hip area, a firm fixed lump, skin breakdown or a change that is growing quickly. Fever, severe pain or spreading redness calls for urgent care. Cosmetic procedures should wait until an active skin or soft-tissue problem has been assessed.
Before choosing a procedure
Are the dimples tethered or mainly related to laxity? Which option fits the hip area and my skin? What recovery, temporary marks and follow-up visits should I plan for?

Questions people ask
Can hip exercises remove cellulite?
Exercise may improve muscle tone and overall contour, but it does not directly release the bands that create dimples.
Is hip cellulite painful?
Ordinary cellulite is usually a texture concern rather than a painful condition; pain or inflammation needs assessment.
