Cellulite and antibiotics: what to know

Cosmetic cellulite creates dimpling or a dimpled orange-peel texture when fat, connective tissue and skin interact. It is not caused by bacteria and does not improve because of antibiotic medicine. Bacterial cellulitis is different: it is an infection in the deeper skin and nearby tissue, often producing warmth, tenderness, swelling and spreading redness.
