Heat rash, also called prickly heat or miliaria, develops when sweat ducts become blocked and sweat irritates the skin. It may look like small skin bumps, a red rash, or clear tiny blisters, with prickling or itching in warm, covered areas. Move to a cooler setting, loosen clothing, rinse gently, and pat the skin dry. Choose breathable fabrics and avoid heavy creams, fragranced products, and vigorous rubbing while the rash is active.
