What should you know about brown crusty spots on skin?

A spot may crust after being squeezed, scratched, or opened, while brown colour remains as inflammation settles. Acne can produce tender bumps, whiteheads, or deeper lesions; Folliculitis often centres on hairs. Razor Bumps can follow shaving, and Rosacea or Perioral Dermatitis can cause clustered facial bumps with burning or redness. Hormonal Acne may follow a recurring pattern around the lower face.
