What should you know about Botox for the trapezius muscle?

The trapezius is a broad muscle extending across the back of the neck and upper shoulders. It helps position the shoulder blades and supports arm movement. Botulinum toxin can soften excessive contraction in carefully selected areas by interrupting nerve-to-muscle signalling for a limited period. It will not treat every source of neck pain, and it does not correct a spinal problem, joint injury, or posture pattern on its own.
