Botox for forehead wrinkles: what to know

Forehead lines are often dynamic wrinkles: they become more visible when you raise your eyebrows or react with your face. Botulinum toxin is placed in selected muscles, where it interrupts the nerve signal that causes contraction. As the muscles relax, the overlying skin may look smoother. Lines that remain when your face is still may also involve sun exposure, skin texture, or loss of support, so Botox may not address every part of their appearance. Seek urgent medical help for breathing difficulty or rapidly worsening swallowing problems. A severe headache, spreading weakness, or symptoms that feel unrelated to the injection also deserve prompt assessment.
