What should you know about Botox for bunny lines?

Botox may soften bunny lines by reducing selected nasal muscle movement that makes horizontal lines appear when you smile or scrunch your nose. The treatment uses botulinum toxin type A and works by temporarily lowering nerve signals to targeted muscles. A facial assessment matters because the nose is close to the eyes and changes in nearby movement can affect expression.

Bunny lines are usually horizontal creases along the upper sides of the nose that show during certain expressions. Repeated movement can make them more noticeable, while established lines may remain partly visible when the face is relaxed. Botox addresses muscle activity; it does not act as a filler, rebuild skin structure, or treat every cause of a nose crease. A clinician will consider your natural smile, nostril movement, facial balance, prior injections, and any eyelid or brow concerns before choosing an approach.
