What should you know about botox and fillers?

Botulinum Toxin Type A is the active material used in many Botox treatments. Hyaluronic Acid Filler is one filler material, while other products have distinct behaviours and uses. The visible concern may involve movement, volume, skin texture, or several factors, so a label such as “fillers” is not enough to choose a treatment.

A clinician should examine your face at rest and during movement, review your medical history, and clarify the change you want. Mention previous injections, allergies, medicines that affect bleeding, dental procedures, active skin problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any history of cold sores.

Ask for the product name, proposed sites, expected changes, alternatives, and follow-up plan. Avoid pressing or massaging treated areas unless instructed, and use the recommended aftercare. If your concern is Facial Volume Loss, filler may be relevant; if it appears mainly during expression, Botox may be more closely matched.
