What should you know about Boroline for cracked heels?

Heel fissures form when thick, dry skin loses flexibility and splits under pressure. A barrier ointment may reduce water loss and friction, but it will not correct every cause. Athlete’s foot, eczema, psoriasis, prolonged standing, open-backed footwear, or circulation problems may contribute. A balm can sting inside an open fissure, and its ingredients may irritate sensitive skin.

Wash gently, pat dry, and apply a suitable emollient to slightly damp skin. Cotton socks can reduce rubbing. Wear supportive shoes, avoid barefoot walking on rough surfaces, and do not cut thick skin with blades or file an open crack aggressively. Stop if burning, swelling, or a new rash develops.

Seek medical advice for deep or bleeding fissures, increasing pain, warmth, swelling, pus, spreading redness, or fever. Arrange review if cracks recur despite moisturising, or if you have diabetes, poor circulation, reduced sensation, or immune problems. Itchy peeling between toes can point to Athlete’s foot.
