Short answer

Body LED light therapy uses selected wavelengths of non-UV light to support treatment of some skin concerns under an appropriate care plan.

This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

How LED therapy is used

A panel or other device places light over the skin without cutting or heating it like many laser treatments. Blue light may be used in acne care, while red or near-infrared light may be selected for other goals. The wavelength, dose, distance, session schedule, and target area affect the plan. LED therapy may be considered for Acne or Pimples, but it is not a substitute for diagnosing deep, painful, scarring, or widespread skin disease.

Before and after treatment

Tell the provider about medicines that increase light sensitivity, eye conditions, seizure disorders triggered by light, pregnancy, and a history of unusual reactions to light. Remove products as instructed and use the protective eyewear supplied. Follow the recommended session schedule rather than increasing exposure yourself. Mild warmth or temporary redness can occur; use gentle skincare afterward and follow advice about sun protection. Ask whether the device is a LED Phototherapy Panel or another type of light source.

When to seek care

Stop and contact the provider for significant burning, blistering, persistent eye discomfort, marked swelling, or a new rash. Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty or facial swelling. Arrange a dermatology review if acne is painful, leaving scars, or not improving, since LED treatment may need to be combined with another approach.

Questions for your doctor

Which wavelength and device are planned for my concern? Could my medicines make light treatment unsuitable? How will progress be judged, and what reaction should make me stop?
