Blurry vision, headache and fatigue

Tiredness can accompany a cold, COVID-19, dehydration, heat exhaustion, or an unsettled sleep pattern. Headache and visual difficulty may also occur with migraine or prolonged screen use. Allergic Rhinitis and Chronic Sinusitis can cause congestion and pressure that make concentration harder. Generalised Anxiety Disorder may contribute to tension, rapid breathing, and light-headedness, although it should not be assumed to explain new visual symptoms.

The duration and sequence are useful clues: symptoms after exertion or heat suggest fluid and heat stress, while fever, cough, or body aches suggest infection. Blurring in one eye, sudden onset, or a new neurological change needs a different level of caution.

Pause demanding activity, rest in a cool quiet place, drink fluids gradually, and limit screens until your vision settles. Check whether you have fever or other illness symptoms, and record the time symptoms started. Avoid driving. Arrange a clinician review when symptoms persist, recur, or interfere with work, walking, reading, or normal activity.

Call emergency services for sudden vision loss or marked blurring, weakness or numbness on one side, trouble speaking, confusion, fainting, loss of coordination, or a severe unusual headache. Get urgent advice for repeated vomiting, inability to keep fluids down, a stiff neck with fever, or worsening symptoms in hot conditions.

Ask whether you need an eye, neurological, or general examination and which symptoms should trigger emergency care. Bring details about sleep, fluids, recent illness, heat exposure, screens, medicines, and whether the blur is in one eye or both.
