What to know about a bite with leg swelling

A bite can trigger inflammation around the skin, causing itch, warmth and puffiness. Swelling that spreads, becomes painful or produces pus can indicate infection. If both legs swell, or swelling persists without a clear skin reaction, other causes may need consideration, including Varicose Veins, Obesity, Heart Failure or Chronic Kidney Disease.
